    Valerian, chamomile and passionflower are plant extracts, each standardized to a marker compound: valerenic acids, apigenin and vitexin. GABA is an amino acid the nervous system uses as a messenger, L-theanine is an amino acid found in tea leaves, and melatonin is the hormone the body releases in the evening.
